I was born and raised in Salinas Valley/Monterey, California; home of John Steinbeck and Robert Lewis Stevenson. I love to visit frequently and enjoy the rich culture and scenery found there. Although Monterey County holds a special place in my heart, I equally enjoy traveling all over the country, spending time with family, hiking, reading and writing poetry. All the photos in this section are from my personal collection of places I have traveled to and trails I have hiked, as well an original poem.
Chicago
It was 8:59,
when the ship set sail.
No captain,
No Passengers,
Not even a wish list.
it only took three hours,
for winter to arrive,
and snow to fall.
fluorescent flowers on the horizon,
seem near,
but strike a little fear.
if you would be inclined to send a copy,
I would oblige,
and read between the lines.
by 9:00 it was over,
no worries though,
it will all be fine.
